I remember watching a Twins baseball game on TV when I was a kid(somewhere between the 1987 and 1991 World Series titles), And i clearly remember a large thunderstorm blowing through the Twin cities.
The wind actually ripped a hole in the roof of the Metrodome during the game.
There was a very real threat of fire from the roof coming down and hitting the hot lights that are suspended from the roof supports.
the people who were sitting below where it happened were quite suddenly very wet, and there was concern of more of the roof coming down. I can't remember whether they called the game off or not, but it must have been freaky to be there when it happened. I remember some people were even jumping down on the field to get away from it.
So it should be quite intersting to find out what Doug, Darren & Sam come up with to eliminate such a design flaw. I know I for one will definitely stay tuned to find out!
